When you think of your big day, is the first thought that comes to your mind a hometown venue or a place that is your paradise fantasy? Paradise doesn’t have to mean sandy beaches, but it could mean a place outside of your hometown that has a special meaning to you and your fiancé.

Starting the research…
Compiling lists may sound like the easy part, but being able to compile a list of destination venues that are feasible to your wedding budget is another story. Not sure where to start with your venue list? Check out this list of ‘Hot destination wedding venues’.
Your budget VS destination wedding packages…
Many venues don’t advertise their wedding packages on their website. They require a few more details about your special day before they can quote you. Remember that majority of venues will have all-inclusive packages. This will help keeping the costs down because they will provide everything right there for you. If they don’t have this option, then just like having a hometown venue you need to prioritize your wedding wants.
A Picture is worth a thousand words…
Wedding photos are something to never skimp on. Wedding photos are the memories that will last forever. The great benefit of having a destination wedding is being able to have photos unlike anyone else. While you’re gathering the venue packages, be sure to research a local photographer as well. A lot of times there are photography companies who specialize in shooting for destination weddings! For example, go check out inTandem photography!
