Lately, a lot of emphasis has been placed on vintage weddings. While they truly are beautiful, there is a lot to be said for the modern wedding as well. We’ve collected some of our favorite modern wedding elements to share with you today, so sit back, relax and enjoy!
Modern Wedding Cakes
We might as well start things off on a sweet note, right? While we do love the traditional wedding cake styles, with tons of piping and buttercream roses, our hearts pitter-patter when we see a truly well-designed modern cake. This square, four-tier cake is exactly that, and so stunningly beautiful with its pale blue fondant and white stripes.
We also just adore this three-tier ivory cake featuring a flawless deep red pattern and embellished with gorgeous red blossoms.
Modern Wedding Dresses
We have to admit that we love a vintage-style, lacy wedding gown. However, the modern dresses we found are just as awe-inspiring, like this stunning A-line gown. It has just enough lace to quell our yearning, but with clean, modern lines and a no-nonsense style.
We also quickly fell in love with this very modern, high-neck sheath gown which features a slight gather at the neckline and a very smart and pretty waist belt.
Modern Wedding Bouquets
Ah, how we love bouquets just dripping with delicate ranunculus and plump peonies…but we have to admit that they don’t have that modern vibe. So, we went searching for modern bouquets we could love just as much. That’s when we found this absolutely stunning anemone bouquet complete with a black and white striped ribbon.
The must-have modern wedding bouquet, though, is the succulent bouquet. Who knew bouquets featuring succulents could be so stunning?
While vintage weddings are sure to be popular for quite some time, many brides are looking for styles that better suit their modern personalities. If you’re planning a modern wedding, look for clean and straight lines, simplicity, and an absence of frills and curls.
