Here’s another small but beautiful wedding! Sarah and Matt said their vows with only their closest family and friends. Details were abundant as they tied the knot under a birch wood altar decorated with the brides wedding floral selections. Let’s check their gallery below!
How They Met
Matt and Sarah met briefly at his sister’s 30th birthday dinner. They met again in November 2014 at a restaurant called Colony Grill in Fairfield, CT. A group of colleagues from work went out and Matt joined them afterwards. A week later, they went on their first date together and three more over the course of the next three days. Sarah and Matt both say they don’t know when they “knew” because there wasn’t one moment – they just made sense together. Matt said he knew very early, even as early as the night they first met that they had a strong, natural connection. “Rarely do I feel as comfortable and at ease with someone as early as I did with Sarah. We felt like old friends from Day 1.”
Extra Special Details

To celebrate the marriages of those before them the couple used family heirloom champagne flutes that are engraved with all the couples in the bride’s immediate family with framed wedding images of them on display in the foyer.

Morning of the wedding the groom had given the bride a gift. It was her favorite novel “The Princess Bride” and inside it he had written her a note. She walked down the aisle to the theme song from The Princess Bride movie.
The Photographer’s Advice
♥ Consider doing an unplugged wedding. It’s so nice to see the faces of the guests in the crowd that are not obstructed by electronic devices.
♥ If you are a shy bride, groom or couple that do not like doing pictures with guests lingering, consider doing a first look. This allows for some alone time with your photographer before guests begin to arrive.
♥ Consider a wedding coordinator or day of coordinator, especially if your venue doesn’t have one. They help keep the structure of the day and handle many of the tedious tasks that keep everything flowing smoothly.
♥ The last thing any bride should be doing is worrying about who’s where and when on time and what goes where.
