Burgundy and Plum Outdoor Wedding

by Car Leave a Comment

Everything about this burgundy and plum wedding was a dream! The couple’s vision was a beautiful blend of feminine and masculine styles that highlight the gorgeous details of rustic elements. Marissa, the bride, wore a fitted strapless gown and pretty jeweled Audrey Brooke pumps. Mike, the groom, wore the perfectly tailored suit with a plum tie and hombre pocket squares. They were complemented by five girls and five guys on each side and one super adorable, hard not to pinch those cheeks, flower girl. The couple had an earlier wedding at St. Patrick’s Church in St. Charles, so they chose to not see one another before the ceremony. After they tied the knot, they had a bubble exit to their car and were swept away to the farm. At the farm, Missy Miller of Elite Photo took some time to photograph them in and around some of her favorite locations (and theirs). Missy have photographed many weddings at Heritage Prairie and feel like she knows the place like the back of her hand, but every wedding is different and unique in its own special way and she’s always excited to see how each day will unfold. Some of our favorite details of the day included the huge sweets table from The Sugar Path. Their cake had a beautiful bumble bee brooch and a swoosh of florals. More of the details as you scroll down below! Enjoy!

About the Photographer
My name is Missy Miller. I am the owner and principal photographer at Elite Photo. I have been photographing weddings for over 10 years and you would think I would be a little lackluster about a wedding day after over 300 of them, but just the opposite. I still get super excited and a little bit nervous every time I’m about to start a new day. They’re all so different and each wedding has it’s own story to tell. Truly. 95% of what I do is weddings, because that’s what I love and what I make time for. My office is in Batavia, Illinois and I mostly work in the western suburbs of Chicago, Chicagoland, and occasionally travel far and beyond that. I love to photograph new and unusual locations and one of my favorite things about my job is collaborating with my couples and coming up with fun, stylish, romantic ideas to portray their one-and-only love story. Couples interested in having me and my awesome other photographers photograph their day can visit my website or blog and fill out a contact form. I respond within 24 hours, if not sooner.
