Leah and Pedram’s love for old movies and vintage Hollywood style inspired their wedding theme. They had a lovely outdoor ceremony followed by a classy wedding reception at Saddlerock Ranch. It was truly an elegant affair with touches of Hollywood glamour here and there. My favorite would have to be the escort charts featuring famous couples. Who wouldn’t love the idea of dining with celebrities? Even the bride and groom themselves looked like celebrities! Congratulations on your silver screen-worthy wedding, Leah and Pedram!
Inspired by vintage Hollywood, Leah and Pedram wanted their wedding to be “casual elegance under the sun and stars with a touch of classic Hollywood glamour”. Below are some direct Q&A with the couple.
Briefly describe how you met each other:
We met at our good friends Dianne and Ryan’s engagement party, but did not really connect until their wedding day, when Pedram asked me to dance. This wedding was also photographed by Viera Photographics, so maybe if one was to search back through those photos, there might be a photo of that very moment!
How did each of you feel when you woke up on your wedding day?
I was very tired having barely slept. But felt pretty calm the whole day, at least that is what everyone told me 200 times. I just entered a zen place and didn’t really feel nervous until I put my dress on.
-Leah
I actually slept well and woke up happy and excited. I was waiting for the some serious nervous and anxious pits in my stomach but there was only an enveloping calmness and contentment. I was ready to celebrate!
– Pedram
Recall something someone said to you on the day that has remained with you since then.
“EVERYTHING was perfect!”
“Oh my god, your vows. Could you hear all the people sobbing?”
How did you feel kissing in front of all those people?
I just felt excited and happy beyond belief.
– Leah
I felt proud. Let them see I say!
-Pedram
What was the funniest thing that happened?
The funniest/scariest thing for me was the hora and being lifted/thrown into the air. I don’t think I stopped shrieking once the whole time – though it was fun.
-Leah
Everyone’s reaction to the GoPro Quadcopter flying above the dance floor to take some videos.
-Pedram
What was the most emotional moment?
Definitely peeking out and seeing all of our guests seated for the ceremony – that was overwhelming to know all of our loved ones were there all together waiting to witness our special moment. And of course saying our personal vows to each to each other was so meaningful and special. I tear up just thinking about it.
– Leah
The outpouring of love and genuine excitement and joy people showed towards us throughout the evening. Of course the vows…being able to share mine and listening to Leah’s with all our loved ones being present was magical.
– Pedram
Describe any DIY projects.
My favorite pet project was our Classic Hollywood Wedding Photos used as escort charts. The photos were placed in vintage frames on the individual tables to create a more romantic vibe and to share our appreciation for old movies. My good friend also custom made all of our table runners, from a Persian-inspired pattern I picked out. I loved the graphic black and cream against the soft blushes of the florals.
