Tips from the Bride

“You can get really carried away with Pinterest and other wedding websites when you’re planning a wedding. If you have a year long engagement like me, you tend to overthink all your initial selections because so many beautiful weddings are in front of your face. Decide on your theme and/or colors and try not to deviate. For example, once I booked my caterer who offered “family style” dinner…I went with the theme of a fancy dinner party and turned a large focus (aka: money and energy) to the tablescapes. Coming up with a cohesive theme will keep you on track and set the tone for all your wedding needs from stationery to florals. “

“If you are deciding whether to spend the money on a wedding planner, I highly recommend booking one for the “Day Of” at the least. It is a priceless service on the most wonderful day of your life. You and your family members will be forever grateful that everyone gets to enjoy the day/night completely stress free. Its almost as if you just show up to your own party and they take care of the rest. Literally!”

“Think about what is most important to you and rank it by priority. Focus your budget allocation on your main priorities. Don’t let the other little things take up your budget. For example, Food and Entertainment were most important to us. So we decided to forgo a videographer and a fancy “get away” car.”
