Real Wedding: Jennifer & James

by Niki - Inspired Bride 2 Comments

There’s something about weddings where the family is involved in not just the planning but also the DIY projects. I’m a big believer that a wedding is not just a celebration for the couple but for the family as well. Jennifer and James’ wedding is exactly that – a family celebration! The details in this wedding really show how close and important their family is. Jen’s dad spent countless hours carving, sanding and staining walnut boxes and even burned Jen and James’ names and wedding date on the bottom of each one. Their tables were named after a direct relative of the couple and has a painting of the couple made by James’ mom! Jen’s dad collected various branches to serve as table number holders. With all the family effort put in to make this wedding an affair to remember is definitely a labor of love!

I adore outdoor celebrations – and this couple have incorporated nature so beautifully into their wedding day. The luscious greens, the timeless or ancient setting with those incredible trees as a backdrop – just makes it look like a wedding which will stand the test of time. Really, truly beautiful.
