This wedding really embraced the power of creation. From using outdoor and nature elements and DIY projects generously for their details and decors, they were able to achieve a one of kind wedding that boasts of elegance and laid back. Also, I really love the ladies’ ensembles. The bridesmaids wore light taupe dresses while our bride wore a white halterneck dress – super stylish. Congratulations on your wedding, Sarah & Brandon!

Brandon and Sarah met through friends at a party and immediately bonded over a mutual interest in social activism. They were married in Maine at a rented Cabin. Sarah’s parents had been going to Lake Sebec since before she was born, and Sarah had many fond memories of visits to the family cabin on the lake. The wedding featured many DIY elements including the flowers (designed and arranged by the bride’s sister), the favors (pickled fiddle heads), the fireworks, etc. Sarah and Brandon asked their friends and family to essentially help with key elements of their wedding (the meals were prepared by a friends in catering, jewelry was made by a friend, I am friends with their family, a friend officiated, a family member did Sarah’s hair, etc) which contributed to the intimate feel of the wedding. The father of the bride oversaw a 30 minute fireworks display deployed from another family cabin across the lake after the sun set.
