A story from Jen (Bride-to-be):

Jon and I met about five years ago when we were both living in Portland, Oregon, and we have been inseparable ever since! While we were on vacation in Italy this past summer, he surprised me and proposed with a gorgeous ring. Knowing my personality and wanting the proposal to be intimate, he carried the ring in his pocket from San Francisco to Florence for a week, waiting for the perfect moment! Christmas morning I awoke to the best present a girl could hope for, my best friend asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. I couldn’t be more excited for our wedding next spring. Jon wore a lovely light blue shirt from J Crew, and I wore two different dresses, one from Urban Outfitters, and one that was a vintage find in San Francisco.

And also here is a story from the photographer Ashley Roberts:

Jon and Jen are just the cutest couples who have been dating for almost five years! Jen recently took an extended adventure abroad in Europe and Jon planned to fly out and meet her in Italy towards the end of her stay. Jen had no idea that he was planning a surprise proposal in Italy. He even had the ring custom made back home and carried all the way across the globe in his pocket. Needless to say, they spent the rest of the vacation giddy as a newly engaged couple in one of the most romantic cities in the world. It’s Amore! For their engagement session, they wanted to be outdoors and surrounded by nature. Thankfully, San Francisco and the Marin Headlands provided us with a gorgeous backdrop and scenery for the photos. The golden light the headlands and rolling hills produce is simply stunning! We had a lot of fun taking photos while Jen and Jon danced around by the water and enjoyed the romantic setting.
