When it comes to wedding dresses, my taste is defined by one overarching rule: don’t put a lot of junk on it. Lace and bead work is fine, but if there’s so much on a dress that it weighs more than you do, I think it starts to feel like overcompensation for something the design’s lacking. What impresses me a lot more is great designs with strong silhouettes, interesting arhitectural details, and yes, occasionally the odd bit of lace or shiny goodness. That’s probably what attracted me to Martina Liana‘s dresses in the first place. Above are some of my favorites, but there are all sorts of cuts to suit any bride to be, and each design is elegant without being over done. Lovely!
