Effortlessly Romantic

by Chelsea Leave a Comment

There’s something about garden weddings that all of us truly love – they are effortlessly romantic! Such is seen in Genevieve and Andrew’s wedding. We like how the verdant trees and other natural elements served as lush backdrop and decor. Get some inspiration from one of the most stunning events we’ve ever seen!

The Love Story

Andrew and I are actually high school sweethearts. We’ve had eyes on each other since we were 14 years old! I remember sitting in classes with him and I would be laughing nonstop! He was always so fun and energetic which I really loved about him and even now I don’t go a day where he doesn’t make me crack up. It’s also great that I have all of these memories with him, and I can’t wait to create even more news ones.

Extra Special Details

The DIY Projects. Probably the extra special details that our family members did for us was just all of their help with our décor. For example, the cake, table settings and even a lot of the lighting – Andrew’s mother had actually created for us. She really wanted to help and make sure that the elements of our wedding were unique and true to us.

Non-traditional bridal dresses! The bridesmaids also recommended their dresses from Aje and though not a bridal store – I just absolutely adored the styles and they turned out looking so unique and beautiful!

The ultimate goal. The most important thing for Andrew and I was to just have fun, finally relax and really enjoy absolutely every moment! You can get so stressed in the lead up to the big day with all of the organizing and although Girl Friday Weddings made everything a breeze, you just couldn’t help but get nervous about the big day! Once the wedding finally came, we just wanted to chill out and have fun with our loved ones.

Tips To Share

The best advice I could give to other brides and grooms would be to just remember why you’re doing the whole event. It can be easy to get caught up in all of the stresses of the big day so try and take some time out right before the wedding with you and your partner. Go for a nice dinner or stroll and don’t talk about the wedding! This will help to ground both of you and remind you why you’re having the day – to celebrate your love!

– Genevieve
