An Important Update

by Niki - Inspired Bride 19 Comments

Hello, everyone!

I know it’s been super quiet around here, but today I have the pleasure of sharing with you some exciting news that helps explain why I’ve been so MIA here and on Somewhere Splendid: I’m pregnant with our first little one! Just saying that “out loud” is sort of making me tear up. Obviously, we’re thrilled beyond words, and I’m finally starting to feel better after having a pretty rough first trimester in terms of sickness and exhaustion. We’re due in March and cannot wait! It’s been hard enough keeping quiet to friends and family for this long, so I can’t imagine how hard it’s going to be waiting for our little addition to arrive.

I’m hoping to start getting back into the swing of things next week, after the holiday weekend. If you’re waiting for an email back from me, please feel free to follow up as I’m way behind on emails (my routine when I come home is pretty much “eat dinner and pass out for 12 hours”, so keeping on top of these things has been particularly difficult lately, and I apologize).

Have a great weekend everyone!

Maddy

Thank you Erin! Yeah, I’m already starting to feel a lot better. I was totally frustrated, though, because of the few people we told pre-12 weeks, only 1 person had an experience like mine – everyone else had a little nausea but otherwise it was pretty easy. Totally kicked my butt!
