A bride’s mother will be one of the most hands-on person during the wedding planning and our featured bride’s mom has set the levels high with her role on her daughter’s special day. And her involvement allowed our couple to fully invite the second most important family in their lives, their congregation. Amanda’s [bride] mom home cooked the reception food that was to be served for 400+ people and if that’s not already impressive for you, then add the 4-tier wedding cake that she baked herself. It was topped off with a simple but meaningful Willow Tree topper which complemented the cake’s simplicity. Another thing we liked about this wedding is the beautiful combination of the marigold colored bouquet and the navy blue bridesmaids’ dresses. A nice accent for this very special day. Congratulations Amanda & Robert!
Photographer:
Robert moved to Mount Dora, Florida from his sweet home in Alabama last year when he accepted the position of Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church of Mount Dora! Amanda is a Sunday Bible school teacher at the church and apparently when they met it was love at first sight! They invited their entire congregation to their wedding via the church bulletin and everybody showed up to watch this love story unfold. Instead of a traditional reception they opted for a giant get together inside of their church fellowship hall, so that they would have the opportunity to greet and thank all of their guests! Amanda’s mother made the Italian wedding cake from scratch as well as all of the food to feed 400+ guests! All of Rob’s groomsmen are also pastors and all of Amanda’s bridesmaids are pure Southern Belles from Duke University. The day was complete with southern accents, pearls and a ton of love!
