What a wonderful day to have an outdoor engagement session in the beautiful county of Sonoma, California. I love everything about this album – the playfulness and the vibrant images that our couple provided as they strolled by the field and train tracks. The breathtaking scenery was a minuscule factor compared to the happiness and joy that our bride-to-be and her beau were exhibiting throughout this feature. Advanced congratulations Megan & Charlie!
What do you think is the overall story for this album?
Charlie and Megan got engaged after being together for years and recently bought a house in Megan’s hometown of Sonoma. Since beginning the wedding planning, they’ve wanted to incorporate the beauty of Sonoma with DIY projects in order to keep the cost down, and their day as personal as can be! Charlie handmade the box prop we used for their engagement session, and we kept the details to a minimum to focus on the amazing bond they share!
What inspired the shoot outfits?
The bride-to-be wanted to wear something wedding inspired, fun and girlie while still keeping details personal, so her friend handmade her Tutu skirt, making it special in so many ways!
What was your favorite part of the day?
The fact that Megan and Charlie were SO natural together in front of the camera, super playful and we shot during my favorite time of day, in the golden light of the sun setting over the Sonoma hills. It was magical!
Was there any Do it Yourself (DIY) projects? If so, can you describe them in detail?
Yes, the box was made by Charlie and Megan painted the date of the wedding on the front. Also, Megan’s friend handmade the Tutu she wore for the first half of our session. I also brought along a flower crown that I made myself, to compliment her second outfit.
