For The Love of Lego, Star Wars and The Nerds

by Chelsea Leave a Comment

Jennifer ♥ Thomas

Jenn and Tom put their stamp on the event and made their wedding a truly one-of-a-kind experience by adding little personal touches. It was absolutely one of those days that both of them would want to look back and recall great memories. What made it more special – Jenn and Tom are nerds at heart. That’s probably what motivated them to hire THE NERDS! Let’s see their gallery and find inspiration from such heartwarming event!

A bit about the wedding from the bride:

My husband and I fell in love in New York City so it was only natural that our wedding reception venue overlook downtown Manhattan. Maritime Parc in Jersey City, New Jersey provided the perfect location. With the city in the background we celebrated our love and our life with our family and friends.

Extra Special Details

The flowers. Laura Clare Design was able to incorporate a dried rose from my aunt’s funeral and some dried flowers my husband got me on our first Valentine’s day into my bouquet.

The favors. The florals and jars of honey as favors were a nod to the summertime party atmosphere.

Lego and Star Wars. Little touches like a LEGO inspired cake and and STAR WARS themed cupcakes all played to the couple’s personalities. The chevron motif on the paper collateral carried over onto their cake.collage1

THE NERDS. New Jersey’s premiere party band was hired to entertain and the guests LOVED them.

The Bride’s Advice

Remember, as my mom says, the marriage is more important than the wedding. This helps to keep things in perspective. Don’t overthink every decision you make. At the end of the day, your wedding day, you want to be able to look back on it with fond memories so don’t sweat the small stuff. — Jennifer
