Country Estate Bridals

by Chelsea Leave a Comment

A tradition originally practiced in the South, now more brides are scheduling bridal sessions apart from the wedding day to ensure lovely portraits. Kelsey choose her wedding venue for her bridal portrait session, which is a gorgeous country estate in Ashland, VA. She was definitely highlighted in her showstopping photos. Let’s take it from her as she shares with us some special details!

Extra Special Details

The wedding venue. The most special detail was that we were married at the home of Kelsey’s best friend’s parents.

The DIY projects. We tried to do as many of the details ourselves, from the signs that the bride and her mom made, to the invitations that were made by a dear friend, Brittany Keenan. Kelsey’s grandparents have many antique oil lamps that decorated the outdoor space, but thank goodness to the homeowners’ exquisite taste, a little thunderstorm didn’t kill the decor when we all ran inside following dinner.

The Bride’s Advice

♥ The best advice that we can give is to not spend money on things that you or your guests will throw away ultimately, focus on the things that will last. The best thing we did was get a videographer to relive moments that we didn’t even see happen and relive ones that were so magical!

♥ Also, don’t stress about the things you cannot control. The weather will be what it will be!

Money Matters
