Having an outdoors shoot during winter doesn’t sound so appealing specially with the harsh cold winds but our couple, Israel and Brianna, warmed their way through their own engagement session and showed us that a winter shoot can be as amazing as those done in the other three seasons. And it goes without saying that a winter shoot gives us a chance to show off our layering skills with fab winter clothes – it’s like hitting two birds in one stone! Congratulations Israel and Brianna.

Photographer:

Brianna and Israel got engaged last Christmas and I have the privilege of meeting them and getting to know them through our church. I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their engagement session.

Brianna currently lives in Richmond, Virginia where she is a nurse and Israel is in Lynchburg. So we scheduled their engagement session here as soon as Brianna could be in town in February! Winter engagement sessions are fun to show off your winter weather sweaters and boots! The weather was a little chilly and started to drizzle a little at the end but that didn’t dampen their spirits at all!

The Blackwater Creek Trail and the Awareness Garden at the Ed Page Entrance was a beautiful backdrop for the session.
