Guest Post: Shauna of Shauna Younge Dessert Tables

Hello everyone! Maddy’s asked me to fill in for a few days while she attends her grandmother’s funeral and sits shiva in NYC.  Who am I? How nice of you to ask. I’m a Minneapolis-based dessert table designer and the owner of Shauna Younge Dessert Tables. You may have already seen some of my work here and here.

Maddy and I share a love of milk glass vases and cake stands, so I was nearly giddy when I came across this cake by Sweet and Saucy. I’ve never seen a cake with hobnail texture, and the flowers are simply divine. Soft hues and tone-on-tone texture lend the confection understated style. Nothing flashy or over-the-top here. So let’s ooh and aah over these details together, shall we?

Shauna Younge designs high-end, stylized dessert tables that showcase custom sweets and unique design details. Her work can be seen on her website and blog.
