Fall is another exciting season for our dear brides so get your pumpkin spice latte ready because this wedding will have you craving for some! Speaking of pumpkins, at Ryan and Lauren’s wedding mini pumpkins made an appearance as table numbers — that gave off an authentic fall feel. From their DIY autumn leaves as guest name cards to their wedding cake with fall leaves sprinkled over and, of course, the vibrant fall colors that please the eyes. If you are planning a fall wedding or just simply looking for inspiration, this is right up in your alley!
Our wedding inspiration was a Fall theme with rustic elegance. Fall has always been my favorite season, and we couldn’t think of a better time to tie the knot! We picked Sacred Heart Church in Lynn, MA as our ceremony location because it was the church that Ryan’s parents were married and we loved the family connection to the church. We selected the Hellenic Center in Ipswich, MA as our reception location because of the elegant mansion and gorgeous, scenic grounds.
We did a number of DIY projects for the wedding because we wanted things to feel personalized. All of the decorations inside the venue were DIY projects, from the centerpieces (we stained the boxes, assembled with hay, artificial bayberry, white mini pumpkins and mason jars with candles), to the table numbers (mini pumpkins that my mom and I hand painted), to the place cards (paper leaves that I cut out individually and hung on a muslin covered board). The venue has beautiful fireplaces and we assembled lanterns that were filled with real acorns that were collected, dried and spray painted by my mother.
We found inspiration from photos on Pinterest, the Knot, and Style Me Pretty. We couldn’t be happier with the way everything came together – it was the perfect day!
