Shaken OR Stirred: A New Spin on the Buffet

by Niki - Inspired Bride 2 Comments

When I saw this martini bar on Sunday Suppers, I knew I had to post about it (despite the fact I rarely blog about others’ posts outside of our week in reviews). Beyond the fact it’s simple to replicate and really pretty, it struck me as a brilliant way to serve alcohol to your guests without splurging on an open bar. You don’t have to serve martinis, if you choose – you could apply this to other drink bars as well (even non-alcoholic!) – but I’m sold on anything that conjures up images of Jon Hamm in 1960s garb, and a martini bar?! I think most of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce would be pretty darn happy with that.

Believe it or not Sandra Lee did something similar and created her own flavored simple syrups to go with the spritzer bar. http://www.foodnetwork.com/sandras-money-saving-meals/sparkling-cocktail-time/index.html
