Who would’ve thought that desert elements can bring some awesome inspiration to the wedding table? When I think of the desert, I think of the harsh heat, complete bareness and lack of life, and very cranky animals that are toughly built to survive this kind of living environment. But now that we are given the chance to see this vast area on another light, it is an understatement to say that I’m impressed by how the stylists came up with this album. And then aside from the details, I am also in love with the scenic view that accompanied our bride and groom. It would definitely be a good option for engagement shots (if the heat would become a bit bearable) because the constant sunny weather would provide awesome lighting. You’ll definitely enjoy this styled shoot as much (or even much more) than we did.
Photographer:
This is a romantic stylized shoot set in the desert in Utah. What better place to have a romance than in the desert? Secluded from the busy world, just you two alone. We were able to create a shoot bring both the modern and vintage together. Like a tall drink of water in a dry desert, Jessica and Colton’s romance and love for one another was able to shine with the bright sun as their spotlight. Colton had swept Jessica off her feet with just one look. “His jaw line was the first thing that caught my eye, but it was his heart and entrapped mine.” The table setting and leisure setting were DIY’ed by As Ever Photography and I. We wanted to keep things simple and organic with a touch of vintage flair for this shoot in the desert hills of Utah. From the napkins, to her grandmother’s handed down china, to the hand planted succulents we created an ambiance of classic romance, a little bit of heat, and a lot of heart into one amazing shoot. I coupled up with As Ever Photography to design and style on this shoot. The shoot is not available for exclusive publication because of that fact as she has submitted photos from this shoot as well.
