Our bride wanted to feel like a princess during her wedding day (who doesn’t?) so she made use of the palette silver and purple. There’s just something so regal about purple and this album confirms how simple hints of this color can make something look completely elegant. Just like their bridesmaid’s bouquet – they used a single purple flower right smack in the middle and it made the simple arrangement look even more lovely.
Here is what our bride has to say about their wedding day.
What was your favorite part of the day?
The top moment was definitely when I walked down the aisle and said I do. You plan, practice and prepare so much for a wedding day – however there is no way to prepare for the feeling and emotions I had when walking down the aisle and seeing Denis standing there waiting for me. Even today, I don’t have feelings to describe that moment.
Our second top moment was the dinner. Having all of our friends and family within the same room for a few hours was amazing! Some of them are not from in town and it is very rare that we can all gather like this. Therefore seeing them all seating there to celebrate our union was touching and unforgettable.
Our third top moment was our first dance! Our first dance was done across the lake from our guests – which allowed us to savour the moment to ourselves. Half way through our first dance fireworks went off in the background, seeing as none of the guests were aware that this was going to happen it was really nice to surprise them!
Was there a theme for the ceremony and reception?
We considered our theme to be a ”princess” theme and color purple, silver and sparkles. Denis has always made feel like I was a princess – so it was fitting. Purple was to both of us an elegant and formal color, therefore was an easy choice. The sparkles just added to the princess factor.
