“And we can build this dream together; standing strong forever; nothing’s gonna stop us now.” Yes, I am actually quoting “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship to start off Violetta and Bart’s wedding post. But before anything else, I would like to greet the two of them a “Happy Anniversary!” As of this posting, they are one day shy from a whole year of being married! Congratulations!
Anyway, those lyrics started playing in my head as I was reading through Violetta’s answers. A relationship built on friendship is a strong one, no doubt. From the looks of it, that’s exactly what Bart and Violetta have. And on their wedding day, they certainly didn’t let anything stop them from celebrating their love for each other. And rightfully so! A little rain is nothing compared to how beautiful everything was! The rich blues on the bridal party’s dresses right next to the sharp black suits, the vibrant red-orange florals, Violetta’s fur stole — all these in a luxurious and rustic estate setting.
When everything around you is so wonderful, how could you possibly feel down about the trivial things? So congratulations on your lovely wedding, Bart and Violetta! Don’t lose that positivity because nothing can stop you now!
The Album Story by the Photographer:
Violetta and Bart‘s October wedding was so special! After they both got ready at Violetta’s parent’s home, they had their First Look in the backyard, and then headed inside for the Polish ceremony in the living room. Their traditional ceremony was held at St. Peter Church in Torrington. We had to sit in the party bus for a few minutes to wait for the rain to stop before beginning their portraits at Topsmead State Forest, but that was fine with us! I loved how they subtly incorporated Game of Thrones into their wedding with their color scheme, Violetta’s fur stole, and their rustic venue. Their fun reception was held at Farmington Gardens, and their band Zambrowiacy kept the guests dancing all night, with music both in English and Polish.
And now, a few words from the blushing bride herself:
How We Met:
We met each other while out with friends in Worcester, Massachusetts. We built a friendship and then started dating.
Our Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Projects:
The place card holders were made from wine corks from a local Connecticut winery in Litchfield County (Miranda in Goshen). We used sand paper and a small knife to create the slots for the place cards. We thought it would be nice to have a local touch!
Favorite Part of the Day:
Our favorite wedding day memory is the drive from church to Topsmead Park for our wedding portraits with our bridal party, composed of our closest friends. Even though it rained a little and we had to wait to take our photos, I felt like nothing could stop us from being extremely happy and celebrating our marriage.
Tips & Tricks for Future Brides:
A wedding is a lot like a work project, probably the most important project you’ll ever have to lead! Stay organized, make a wedding timeline, and make to-do lists. It will make your wedding day that much smoother.
