You can never really tell where you would meet your one true love. For Namrata, she met Jason on match.com. And what can we say, they were truly the perfect match! Two years after their first online encounter, Jason invited Namrata to the beach to look for shells. While she was looking for shells, she stumbled upon a bottle with a message in it on the beach. As she was reading across the lines, she realized that the mysterious love letter was actually for her. And before she knew it, Jason was on one knee while “Marry Me” by Jason Derulo was playing in the background. Who wouldn’t say “Yes!” to that? They celebrated with a bottle of champagne after. And now, they’re on their way of making their happily forever after come true. Congratulations again Namrata & Jason!
What is your story as a couple, how did you meet & fall in love?
Jason and I met on match.com. He sent me a cute message on if I had my pumpkin carved since it was around Halloween. It took a month of messaging back and forth and then I finally meet Jason in person at lemon bar in Atlantic beach. Fast Forward two years- he suggested we look for shells on the beach one cold Saturday morning. So we went to the beach. Once we arrived there, we looked for shells. While I was looking for shells, I randomly saw a bottle with something in it. It was a letter! As I took the letter out of the bottle I ripped it. As I read the love letter I realized it was for me! I looked down and there was Jason on one knee with the song “Marry Me” by Jason Derulo playing in the background. I said YES of course! We celebrated on the beach with a bottle of champagne he brought in a backpack and the rest is history!
What makes the two of you a perfect match?
I think the phrase opposites attract describe us perfectly. For example, he loves outdoor activities and I enjoy doing things indoors. Even though we are very different, we know how to compromise. He also understands my quirky humor and I love his goofiness.
What was the best advice you received when you were planning your wedding?
Not to stress on the wedding day. If something goes wrong only you will know.
What inspired your wedding decor? Why did you choose the things that you did?
I love elephants, I knew I had to incorporate elephants in the wedding. For the colors, we went to Home Depot and got a 20 different paint color swatches. We decided on fusia, red orange and orange spice. Since Indian weddings are very colorful we wanted bright colors.
Do you have advice for couples still in the planning process?
It’s good to keep a wedding binder with all your vendor’s contracts. This helped us become more organized for the wedding. Also when meeting up with the decorator, bring the wedding colors (paint swatches). The decorator will get a better understanding of what colors you want to incorporate in the wedding.
