We are absolutely digging the different flavors on this wedding shot by Moreland Photography. Karen & Tim wanted an intimate affair with just their dearest families & friends. They wanted an event that provided a relaxing & fun atmosphere for everyone. So with all of this in mind, they decided to get married on New Year’s Eve when everything was festive & all about being with family. The rehearsal dinner & the reception was booked on the same venue. And since it was a 2 day affair, Karen wanted to make her guests feel as if they were in two different locations. They went with an Italian Bistro theme for the rehearsal dinner. The second day was a fusion of her English background & an unforgettable New Year’s party. It lasted ’til morning!
This will also be Karen & Tim’s second marriage so Karen really wanted to do something different & out of the ordinary. Instead of wearing a white wedding dress, she went with a steel grey colored dress which looked absolutely beautiful on her. She also had beautiful headdresses made for her & her bridesmaids. And because it was an evening affair, she chose to use bright purple flowers with hints of red just so it pops out of the color of the night & her grey dress. She was given away by her son which she considers a very precious moment. After the wedding ceremony, they headed out towards the setting sun & lit up sky lanterns to send their well wishes into the sky. It was beautiful! And like they say, love is lovelier the second time around. Cheers again to the wonderful couple – Karen & Tim!
