Fresh and Fun at Top of the Bay

by Scarlet Leave a Comment

Hayley and Jason exchange vows at the Trinity Church. For reception, they celebrated with friends and family at Top of the Bay. From the beautiful light blue and white hydrangeas to the simple bridesmaids’ dresses, all the details incredibly came together as captured by Anna Grace Photography. Not to mention everyone had a blast dancing and eating the delicious desserts! Here is their beginning of forever!

We’re All About The Details!

The table numbers. A picture of Jason and Hayley at the age that corresponded with the number of the table were their table numbers.

The guests’ letters. Rather than signing a traditional guest book, the couple wanted their guest to write letters for them. That’s why their guestbook featured small notecards with pages of envelopes in which to place them.

An unplugged ceremony. One of the most favorited details of the day was the “Unplugged Ceremony” sign  placed at the entrance of the church. Something suggested by their photographer, Anna Grace Photography, this sign not only prevents cell phone photographers from being visible in the professional images, but most importantly it encourages guests to be present with the couple during the ceremony. They wanted the most important part of their day to be fully enjoyed without distraction!

The color scheme. Ivory, sky, green.

Words From The Bride

♥ We hope the simplicity of our wedding allowed Christ to be the central focus of the day. We ultimately wanted our ceremony and reception to point people to how much Christ loves them!

♥ Don’t allow yourself to be overwhelmed by the details. It’s going to happen, so don’t be surprised when you feel like your to-do list is taking over your life. In those moments, take time to slow down and remember that while what you are planning for is going to be wonderful and fun, that what it marks is the beginning of your lifelong marriage that will last much longer than the 6 hour celebration. When the stress of planning starts to get to you, take a break and spend time with your future spouse! Get outside together, pray together, do whatever you do to put things back in perspective.

♥ Also, enjoy your day! People told me over and over again that our wedding day would fly by and that I needed to make sure we took it all in. I couldn’t understand exactly what they meant until I experienced it myself! One of my husband and I’s favorite memories of our wedding day was looking out on the dance floor and seeing everyone dear to us all in one place enjoying the evening. We had to be intentional about slowing down to experience that!
