Wedding seating cards diy

Seating cards are a great and creative way for guests to easily find their tables in your wedding reception. They are easy to make and are inexpensive. Moreover, seating cards bring a beautiful touch to your party. Be the best DIY bride and read on for instructions on how to make these amazing seating cards.

What you need:

  1. Tissue paper
  2. Hole puncher
  3. Seating cards
  4. Scissors
  5. Rotary cutter
  6. Golden tape

Before we start with the project, print the name and table number of the guests on the seating card.

Cut 10” by 5” tissue paper and fold it in half lengthwise. Using rotary cutter, fringe the paper about ¼ inch wide keeping the top intact.

Step 1:Fold tissue paper in half lengthwise and fringe it 1/4 inch wide.

Unfold the tissue paper, grab the other end and roll up. Make sure to entangle the fringes as you go.

Step 2:Unfold the tissue paper and roll it up at the middle.

Then, fold it in half. Grab a twine and tie a knot to make a loop. Insert the tissue paper into the twine’s loop. Place it in the middle of the twine and fold.  Make a small strip of golden tape and place it around the tassel to secure it in place. And you are done with the tassel.

Step 3:Insert the tassel into the loop of the twine and tie a knot.

Now, you have to place it on the seating card. To bring a beautiful touch to the card, use gold paint pen and follow the font style of the print. So even though you do not have a good handwriting, you can achieve a beautiful one through this.

Step 4:Use golden pen to trace the font of the letters on the seating card.

Punch a hole at the top of the seating card. Slip the knot into the hole and back through the loop, then pull it nicely.
