by Carla Leave a Comment

Wedding Box Favor

A wedding favor is a simple and beautiful way to say ‘’Thank you” to your guests. This is the reason why a pretty favor box for your gift is very important. This is to impress the guests and get them excited to open and see what is inside. Today, we are going to make a fascinating small favor box made from Stampin’ Up materials that won’t surely break your bank. If you are eager as I am, read on for instructions.

What you need:

  1. 7 3/4” x 3 5/8” white card stock
  2. Stampin’ Up ink pads (any color you like)
  3. Stampin’ Up punches (any design you like)
  4. Framelits
  5. Ribbon
  6. Adhesive tape/glue

We do the stamping first. Grab the card stock and start imprinting your chosen design on it. Make sure to fill up the card stock with the design.

Step 1:Stamp the card stock with the chosen design.

Place the cardstock on the scoring tool. Starting from the top left, score the card stock at 2 3/8”, 3 5/8”, 6 and 7 ¾”. Then, looking at the left side of your scoring tool, look for the 2 inch and mark it with your finger. Go back to the top side, measure about 3 inch and score it down until the 2-inch mark. Do the same with the 6 5/8”. Then, turn around the card stock that the score lines are at the right side. Score 1 ¼”.

Step 2:Score the card stock to start shaping your box.

Fold on the marks you created to finally make out your box. As you fold, you may notice 4 rectangles and one small rectangle. Get rid of the small one by cutting it off. Then, cut on those remaining 3 lines. Only on the LINES.

Step 3:Fold on the lines.

Grab the set of the framelits and choose the third and second to the smallest and grab two pieces of colored paper which complements your box. Place each framelit on each paper. Place them on the magnetic platform and get it through the Big Shot. This will cut the paper according to the shape and size of the framelit. Remove the paper and pop out the pieces.

Step 4:Use framelits to shape out the pieces of paper which will serve as the top of your favor box.

Place the two paper over each other and fold in crosswise. Use glue or adhesive tape to secure the two papers in place.

Step 5:Place the two papers on top of each other.

You will start to assemble the cardstock to create a box. Bring back the cardstock and put adhesive on the skinny rectangle at one end and stick the other end on it. Then, work on those flaps to secure the bottom of the box.
