A Backyard French Country Styled Shoot

by Scarlet 1 Comment

Today’s wedding inspo is making us dream of a chic spring! Andrea and Brendon, the couple, originally wanted a destination wedding in Provence. It was their dream wedding. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, they had to rethink their plans. Holly Gray, their event planner, decided to show them how they can still have the wedding of their dreams and not having to travel and spend so much by bringing the French Country to them. Thus the making of this French country stylized shoot!

The Table Setting

When talking about french inspired things one must not forget that french blue and classic cutlery that’ll make you feel like madames and sirs at your own backyard. The subtle palette of this table setting is undeniably french!

Delectable macaroons and the regal french blue three-tiered cake!

The Bridal Look

The bride’s hair was done by Betsy diFrancesca, she made sure to incorporate a little bit of french by infusing a few french curls! The french blue dress from R Miné is not your typical wedding dress but beautiful none-the-less!

From the Makeup and Hair Stylist

My name is Betsy diFrancesca and I’ve been a makeup artist and hair stylist for 30 years. I started out doing commercials, music videos and print but, after 9/11, I decided to focus on doing what I really loved-weddings. I think the thing that really sets me apart from other artists is my trial run. I take before and after pictures of the different looks that we try and then I print them right there so that the bride-to-be can get an idea of how the looks read for the camera. It also gives us a picture that we can use for reference on the wedding day. I live and work inLos Angeles but I’m willing to travel. I think my pricing is fair: $150 for the trial run and $300 for the day of the wedding. I include a touch up kit containing the lipstick that I used, a lip brush, blotting papers, bobby pins and a tin of mints. I often tell my brides, “I’ll give you the most beautiful version of you.”
