All You Need Is Love And A Little Candy

by Chelsea Leave a Comment

Amanda ♥ Dave

Dave is a mechanic for Porsche and was hooked up with a sweet car for the wedding day that they used as a great prop!  Putting SO MUCH love into all the details for their beautiful cocktail reception, Amanda made the stacked candy bar and the awesome homemade signs! Find inspiration below from this wonderfully resourceful couple!

How He Popped The Question…

The proposal was very much a surprise as Dave had insisted he never wanted to get married. It was in November on their 4 year anniversary dinner at Waldo’s on King. That surprised Amanda even more because he is not one to draw attention to himself so proposing in a public place must have been a big deal to him!

Extra Special Details

Couple’s favorite detail from their day. Their favorite detail was the decor. The huge focal point of the reception was the candy bar. Amanda spent a lot of time and effort creating her own decor that was so true to the two of them. It all turned out so well!

The wedding day. Their wedding was June 20 which is the longest day of the year so they had so much beautiful sun long into the evening!

The most hilarious moment. It was the garter toss, Amanda at some point during the day lost her garter and when it came time for the toss, Dave was struggling to find something that wasn’t even there!

Heed Her Advice!

♥ Do your research! If something seems too good to be true or too inexpensive, it probably is. I am a firm believer in “you get what you pay for.”

♥ I knew going into this process that hiring a professional photographer with an excellent reputation was going to be the best decision I could make, and it hands down was! In my opinion all you have left at the end of the day are memories, but what better what to have those memories come to life than in beautiful photographs!

♥ Don’t stress over the small details. I worried about so many things until I was a couple months away from the wedding and I just realized; no one will ever notice or care about these small details I’m losing sleep over. So it just wasn’t worth worrying about anymore!
