Back in 2007 my little sister got married and as a sweet little wedding day gift to me and mom, she surprised us with gorgeous bumblebee brooches pinned to our bouquets. Ever since that day, I have been in love with the brooch as a wedding day detail. Lately I’ve seen them hidden in up-dos, tucked onto the tips of shoes, and even bouquets made of nothing but brooches! But my favorite new trend is seeing them all over cakes, especially simple cakes with a POW of sparkle-y brooch tucked in between the layers.
For smaller receptions pinning them on chair backs and on napkins adds another gorgeous element of prettiness. A little hint – sometimes fabulous costume jewelry – those amazing chunky clip on earrings you can find at estate sales – make great “brooches” when you need quite a few of them.

I love this post!!! This is exactly the idea I am looking for, for various personalizations at my own wedding! You are wonderful. THANKS.
Totally agree how even a little hint of bling can make all the difference! Love the “jeweled” menu card.
Love the bee brooch! I had my late Grandma’s brooch on my bouquet so she could be a part of our day. 🙂
Lovely idea!
