Every bride wants her wedding to be perfect, and while things happen that are out of your control, there are some things you can do to minimize disaster on your wedding day. Here are a few of those things.
1. Don’t Wear a Dress You Haven’t Tried On
Even if you tried on your wedding dress 10 times already, try it on again after the last round of alterations. This way, if something is wrong, you will still have time to get it fixed.

2. Never Get a Spray Tan
On the day of your wedding, you definitely don’t want to get a spray tan. It could mess up, it could dye your skin orange, or you could have an allergic reaction. If it’s the day of your wedding, you don’t have many options. Get your tan a week before the wedding.
3. Don’t Eat New Foods
What if you discover you have a food allergy you never knew about? You could end up with hives and huge red marks for your wedding pictures.

4. Don’t Try a New Hairstyle or Makeup
Finally, the last thing you want to do is try a new hairstyle or makeup, especially if the hairstyle involves a hair cut. When in doubt, go with your normal look so you don’t risk having something messed up at the last minute.

It’s not the day for trying out new things. Instead, stick with the things that work for your wedding day. Following these tips can reduce the risk of disaster on your big day.

As a photographers assistant – please adhere to pt 2 – spray tans come up orange in photo-editing. Plus if we colour correct to your skin tone (since the bride should look the best) we then put out all the skin tones of everyone else. It really doesnt work out pretty.
