A Cake with a Wintry Twist

While hopping around the internet in search of inspiration for Somewhere Splendid posts, I stumbled across this absolutely adorable cake from Sweetapolita. Though perhaps it’s a little more Christmas-y than general winter, I decided I had to post it anyway because one, I love baker’s twine; two, I love peppermint; three, I love when my two favorite things come together to create an amazing design. It’s whimsical, sweet, and perfect for a holiday time wedding. Rosie did such a great job with this one!

  11. I simply adore this! How great would this be with a mostly all white dessert bar? But more importantly, is the cake itself peppermint flavored? That would be divine – especially with hot cocoa!
