Mountain Lover Marries Home Brewer

by Chelsea Leave a Comment

Lani ♥ Ryan

Lani, a truly inspired bride, was not afraid to bring in new elements to her wedding day. She wanted to just have fun and be herself on her biggest day. That is why she and Ryan, her husband, had a DJ and the best band in Utah which was the highlight. Obviously, they had the best time of their lives!

The Love Story

We met in 2003 at Western Washington University but didn’t start dating until April 2011. Kluh (I call Ryan by his last name) proposed to me on July 19th 2014 while backing packing through the Narrows in Zion National Park! It was such a surprise and so intimate.

Extra Special Details

The wedding day outfit inspiration. The Mountains. We love the natural setting and I wanted it to have a laid-back feel.

The first look. He saw me for the first time in my dress when I was walking down the aisle. We are not traditional people but that was the one tradition we wanted to make sure happened and I’m so glad we did!

The decor. Log Haven is a naturally beautiful venue so I didn’t want to take away from the natural beauty. I decided to only have candles, and babies breath on the tables. I also wanted to keep it simple but beautiful! The tables had a accent of vintage gold votive candle holders and vintage blue vases to add a little color.

The DIY projects. We had welcome bags for all the out of town guests. I found burlap sacks from Amazon. Ryan is a “Home Brewer” so he brewed beer and we had custom labels made to put on the individual beer bottles. The burlap sacks were filled with a bottle of beer, gold fish, candy, nuts and an “Epic” glass from Epic brewery.
