A Very Bookish Wedding Shower

by Niki - Inspired Bride 1 Comment

If you’ve been trying to think of a fantastic theme for your wedding shower and you really love books, why not go with a bookish wedding shower? It can be a lot of fun! Ask guests to recommend books that they think would truly benefit the soon-to-be married couple. This is one great activity guests can take part in.

Games

It is also highly recommended to do a book trivia wedding shower game with some widely-read books like Water for Elephants, Atlas Shrugged, The Giver, etc. If your group has a specific genre you all love most, go with those types of books. The winner of the trivia contest can obtain fun prizes (favors). You can also have guests act out book titles in a “charades” like game.

Create a Memory Book

Have guests take a Polaroid photo of themselves and paste it into a blank journal. There, they can write whatever loving message they want to the bride. This is a wonderful idea for a memento and it goes very well with the bookish theme.

Dressing Up

If you want to go all out, you can have your guests dress like characters from their favorite books. You can make those books be romance books too, since it is a wedding shower. This is totally up to you, but if you decide to go this route, you might want to invite your photographer as well.

This is a unique and fun wedding shower theme that your guests will really love!
